Acupuncture is a form of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) which involves inserting very thin needles into specific points on the body to promote healing and alleviate symptoms of various conditions. It has been practiced for over 2,000 years and is widely used both in Eastern and Western medicine today.
At the core of this ancient medicine is the philosophy of Qi (pronounced “chee”), or Life Energy flows throughout the body. Qi animates the body and protects it from illness, pain, and disease. A person’s health is influenced by the quality, quantity and balance of Qi.
